Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how RENTnDASH ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the RENTnDASH Tenant app, the RENTnDASH Landlord app, or the RENTnDASH web portals at rentndashpng.com (together, the "Service"). RENTnDASH is a property management platform serving landlords, tenants, and managing agencies in Papua New Guinea.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: name, phone number (tenants) or email address (landlords), and a password you choose to activate your account.
- Tenancy & property information: lease details, rent amounts, bond/deposit records, property and unit addresses, and land title information, as provided by your managing agency.
- Payment information: rent payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your full card number on our servers — Stripe handles card data directly and shares only tokenized payment references and transaction status with us.
- Maintenance & communication records: maintenance requests, photos you choose to attach, and messages exchanged with your property manager through the app.
- Documents: identification documents, lease agreements, and application materials you choose to upload.
- Usage data: basic technical information such as login timestamps, used to keep your account secure.
2. How We Use Information
- To operate your tenant or landlord portal account and authenticate your login.
- To process rent payments and generate receipts.
- To route maintenance requests, messages, and lease/application information between tenants, landlords, and the managing agency's staff.
- To calculate and display rent rolls, collection summaries, and net remittances for landlords.
- To maintain the security and integrity of the Service.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only as necessary to operate the Service:
- With the managing agency (staff/admin users) responsible for your tenancy or property, so they can administer leases, payments, and maintenance.
- With Stripe, our payment processor, solely to process card payments.
- With Cloudflare, our cloud infrastructure provider, which stores and serves application data and files on our behalf.
- Where required by Papua New Guinea law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of RENTnDASH, our users, or the public.
4. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored using Cloudflare's D1 database and R2 object storage, with industry-standard encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Passwords are never stored in plain text — they are salted and hashed before storage. Access to tenant and landlord data within the agency is restricted to authorized staff accounts.
5. Your Choices & Rights
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by contacting your managing agency or emailing us at the address below.
- You may decline to save a payment card; saved cards can be removed at any time from the Payments tab.
- Uninstalling the app does not delete your account data, since your tenancy or property records are retained by your managing agency for lease administration and legal/record-keeping purposes.
Account & Data Deletion
To request deletion of your account and associated personal data, email [email protected] from your registered email or phone number, with the subject line "Delete my account". Include your full name and the property/unit you are (or were) associated with so we can verify your identity.
We will confirm your identity and process eligible deletion requests within a reasonable time. Please note: some records (e.g. completed lease and payment history) may be retained for a limited period where required for legal, tax, or dispute-resolution purposes, even after an account is deleted, consistent with the retention practices described above.
6. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for adult tenants, landlords, and property managers. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
